MEASURED IMPROVEMENT FOR WALKER RACING IN ELKHART LAKE
Elkhart Lake, WI (August 11, 2007)- Today was a much better day for Walker Racing duo Simona De Silvestro (#5 Miauton) and Ryan Lewis (#15 NCPI Solutions/InSport) as they both finished in the top ten for tomorrow’s Generac Grand Prix.
One would never know that this was the first time to Road America for De Silvestro, as she continued to get stronger each time she jumped behind the wheel. The Swiss Miss took to the 4.048 mile road course like a true pro as she turned the seventh fastest lap time of 1:59.828 seconds. Everything finally started to come together for Lewis today. After a tough go around yesterday, today was a lot easier for the Brit, who struggled to find the right balance and grip. In the beginning of the session it started to look grim, but once the new tires came on Lewis was able to secure himself in the top ten, clocking the tenth quickest time of 1:59.996 seconds.
